How did you feel your transition from high school to Division I in Hockey East was? hard, easy? The transition to Hockey East this year has been very different than my pastexperience in junior, it's a very short schedule and the season starts alotlater, the biggest difference I believe though is the amount of skill on all the teams, every one on every team is highly skilled and fast, in the past it has always been the number one and two lines have been very talented however in Hockey East lines one thrue four are so skilled and keep you on your toes.

How do you stay mentally strong? I really don't have one specific way I stay mentally strong, but I can say I take losing very personal, and when it comes to practice and weightlifting I take it very personal as well, I believe my competitiveness has to do with keeping me mentally strong.

In your opinion, what is your strength in the game? MI believe the strength of my game is using my size to my advantage, playing physical in all zones of the rink, making the first good breakout pass out of our zone, and getting my shot on net to create opportunities for our forwards.

Weakness? On the other hand I believe the weaknesses in my game include my discipline, not getting to worked up during the course of a game and also always trying to make the spectacular play instead of the simple play I need to continue
to work on.

How do you overcome your weakness? I overcome my weaknesses by working on them in practice, watching video, and talking with the coaches.

What is the best piece of coaching advice you have ever received? The best piece of coaching advice I have ever received is to pay attention to the little details, they can either make or break your season.

What is the most important skill for a forward to possess in your opinion? The most important skill for a forward to have I believe is speed, if you have speed and can skate well, you can cause havoc on the opposing defense.

What was your path to Hockey East? My path to Hockey East: I played in the Eastern Junior Hockey League for a year with the Capital District Selects, and I spent the last two years with the Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League.

What were you like as a youth hockey player? standout? grinder?
As a youth player, I was both the skilled kid and the kid that always hit
kids. I was a mixture of both but I would not say I was a stand out, more of
just a solid player.
