Our Philosophy

Pro Ambitions is a unique and awesome experience for all hockey players. I have created a system of teachings that has evolved over my 25 year lifetime of hockey - from a 6 year old learning to skate, all the way up to the NHL.

The curriculum that I have written and copyrighted has been sold to youth hockey organizations nationwide. It is a cohesive building block method that is a compilation of the best teachings/drills of my career. Being fortunate enough to have been taught by some of hockey's masters, from youth hockey through the NHL, has been a tremendous help in my own teaching endeavors.

I must give credit to some of the coaches along the way that have left such a lasting mark on my game and me. Wayne Pecknold (Manchester Flames peewee coach), Charlie Corey (Lawrence Academy prep), Mike McShane (Providence College), Marc Crawford (Vancouver Canucks), Joel Quenneville (St. Louis Blues), Terry Mur ray (Cinncinatti IHL), Bob Ferguson (Indianapolis IHL), Paul MacLean (Kansas City IHL) and last but certainly not least, Kevin Constantine and his two assistant coaches Don Jackson and Troy Ward (Pittsburgh Penguins).

Many of my most valuable hockey lessons were learned in my final pro season.

My philosophy is pretty simple. One can never stop learning from good coaching at any stage of your game. All players will benefit from my curriculum that focuses on game situational drills/skills. All our drills have a conditioning, agility, skill and battle element to it. Our drills are fun and challenging teaching kids to adapt to the ever changing game of hockey. I place a large focus on a facet of the game that is oh so integral - mental conditioning/confidence. Hockey is a game of mistakes - those who learn to rebound quickly from their mistakes will become the great hockey players. This is called mental toughness. Bad coaching, unfair team selection, lack of ice time, hockey politics and crushed spirit. We have all been there.

Most importantly, All Pro Ambitions camps have a 5:1 ratio of players to qualified coaches so the kids get the best drills taught by the best instructors. We thrive on being a “confidence store” for young players. We want kids leaving our camps confident in their abilities on and off the ice.
