ACCOMODATIONS AT THE MOUNTAIN CREEK RESORT AND SOME WORDS ABOUT WHY WE ADDED THE OUTWARDBOUND ASPECT,  THE RINK AND MORE DETAILS

We have been at the Mountain Creek Resort for the past few summers. The accommodations are great. Your child will be in an air conditioned condo with two bedrooms and a common area and a kitchen. There will be two campers in each bedroom with color television. There will be a camp counselor in each condo with your children staying on a pull out sofa bed in the living room area. There is a kitchen so campers can bring snacks and drinks if they would like. The swimming pool is great. This is a far cry from the BU dorms but as we had to go on location this summer we wanted to make up for them not skating on the BU ice. The outward-bound fun is just amazing in this area. The rink is a short distance away from the resort (about a fifteen minute bus ride) and we have our own bus and driver for the week. Lunch is served daily at the rink-which is catered and brought in. Campers will be having breakfast at the resort and then bused to the rink for two on ice sessions at two hour blocks each. Late afternoons after the Hockey work is done the campers will enjoy the great outdoors and outward-bound activities….see below for the schedule of activities.

Mountaineer Outward-bound Schedule: Every Camp gets these extra activities!!!!!

35 Player Max per appropriate age/skill level group. Incomparably the supreme boarding camp for dedicated triple "AAA" players nationwide. Hockey with a vengeance! Our AAA Boarding camp is notably the most sought after summer program in North America. We are now entering our 8th summer and have been very proud to announce an immediate sell out/wait list situation each year that keeps growing stronger. What an experience these kids have! This ultimate hockey experience has created a worldwide buzz. We welcomed top notch players from all over the world. From Russia, Sweden and Czech to California to Florida to Seattle to Midwest. We have such a blast with an exceptional group of kids. Lots of kids attend both weeks. Many scouts are taking notice of these camps and are often times perched in the stands taking notes and recruiting players. It's getting a serious reputation for high level players. Now we have added the finest accommodations with the Mountain Creek Resort and Outward Bound fun to get the ultimate experience.

Serious AAA, Metro and Select players only.
Very intense/very competitive. See what a commitment it takes to play at this level. You will eat, sleep and breathe hockey at this intense boarding camp. This is for the serious and well skilled players. Top players in the country - top coaches; you want serious competition, you got it. Email Jeff with your players credentials i.e., current team, age and position to js@proambitions.com

Surprise Guests: We often have a few surprises like last year NCAA D-1 Championship BC coach Jerry York spoke with the kids as well as former NHL’er's Scott Young/ Harvard coach Ted Donato or NJ Devil John Madden.

DEFENSEMAN WITH JEFF

The real deal with Jeff all to yourself for the week. This is an awesome opportunity for all defensemen and forwards who are interested in exploring becoming a "mule" as Jeff calls the D-men. Jeff himself was a forward up until prep school. Think about that! Jeff added this specialty camp to his favorite boarding camp locations. The intimacy of the small group while spending the week with Jeff will make for a lifetime memory. We guarantee to give defensemen a hockey experience that will change their game forever. With the massive expansion of Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. it is difficult to have Jeff as the head on-ice instructor for the entire week of camp. That is what makes this boarding camps so special. Jeff will be pulling out all the stops and opening up his bag of tricks at this one. As mentioned in other parts of the website, the Pro Ambitions copyrighted curriculum that has been sold to youth hockey organizations nation-wide had never included a section on Jeff's D-camps. He has too much knowledge to be passed on about being a "mule" that he keeps it exclusive to teaching himself. "My defense curriculum encompasses over 125 defense specific drills and also integrates lots of the battle drills. You will learn how to play the position, learn how to be much better defensively and vastly improve your total skill set”.

INDIVIDUAL CAMP

This is our 8th season doing the individual camp with overwhelming results. You will basically have your own private coach for the week. 3:1 ratio of players to coaches. This is a great alternative for those folks and/or for those who want only one week of camp to address specific needs for their individual game. This is a custom fit, tailor made camp for your child. Prior to arriving at camp, there will be a one step interview process with Jeff via email. He will ask many poignant questions regarding the players strengths and deficiencies. Jeff will also narrow down the focus to individualize the camp for your child. We will capitalize on existing strengths and bring weaknesses up to par. Every hockey team is a recipe. Each player is chosen because he or she is an important ingredient. All players need to find their niche in the game. The individual camp is the best opportunity to find it. At the same time they will feel the hockey tradition of Boston University. You will have your own personalized coach for the week to work on whatever you feel is a weak or lacking area of your game while still working on all the areas we cover in our everyday Battle Camp curriculum.

Typical daily on ice schedule:

  • 1st hour each day the group will work with our Powerskating Specialist.
  • 2nd hour each day will focus on specific individual circuits. 5 stick handling stations, 5 shooting stations, 5 passing stations etc. (using the information you give us in the tailor made curriculum)
  • 3rd hour each day will focus on our Battle Camp, game situational drills.
  • 4th hour we will focus on individual needs of each skater (using the information you will send us) and finish with a small area or full ice scrimmage

BU BATTLE/OUTWARD BOUND

The signature Pro Ambitions Camp designed by Jeff to encompass game simulated battles. Hockey is a series of 1 on 1 battles all over the ice. Players will leave this camp with awesome skill development, a better understanding of the game and most importantly - knowing how to battle for loose pucks. This is also the curriculum that Jeff has copyrighted/trademarked and sold to many youth hockey organizations nationwide. He is extremely proud of this unique and necessary conceptual approach to teaching. It is a compilation of the best advice, drills, and game theory from his career.

This camp is for all levels of players whether you're a mite b (like his son) or Midget. (We suggest you have 1 year of active playing under your belt). We are the masters of "Circuit Training" and small area games, the kids are always moving and always being corrected with lots of repetitions in a fun and spirited environment which fosters self confidence and great self esteem.

We are very proud to have had over 4000 kids attend one or more of our 300 day/boarding camps across North America last year: We have the best coaches and best drills- at the end of the camp you leave a better player, period. The Battle Camp has proven to be even more effective in training in accordance to the new rule changes in USA hockey. Lastly, players and parents do not shy away from the word "Battle". We teach how to win the battles of hockey safely and effectively respecting the game and opponent.

Quick Pertinent choosing a camp:

The Battle camp is the only “COMPLETE” camp on the market: “Official Camp of Hockey East” NCAA D-1 Hockey

“Often imitated but never duplicated” Pro Ambitions is the pioneer and creator of this innovative approach to hockey. My drills are game situational. I have created this niche in the market place. I have trademarked and copy written my curriculum which has been sold to youth organizations nationwide. I have compiled my drills over the past 30 years-some date back to the best of my youth hockey coaches all the way up to my Pittsburgh Penguins Coach, Kevin Constantine. I am constantly studying and learning and updating my curriculum… My hockey peers are now coaches, players and management of Division one college hockey, AHL and NHL teams…We talk hockey all the time-we are teachers and ourselves students of the best sport on the planet: ICE HOCKEY

The Battle Camp offers each player the best opportunity to fully develop the fundamental skills that are necessary to be a good hockey player. All other countless hockey camps in the industry teach ice hockey skills. We teach the most important skill in hockey: how to adapt. The Pro Ambitions battle camp goes well beyond teaching basic hockey skills. My curriculum and philosophy teaches, trains and develops each player to adapt their skills to the ever changing situations that occur throughout every game. Ice hockey is a game of transition and small battles, the players that can adapt their skills to these situations are the players that will be successful. Players honing their skills at my camps will see dramatic results in a short period of time and get a power boost to their game. They leave with a serious edge...It is fun while be challenging and gives results. Come kick ice with us this summer-The Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. BATTLE CAMP is coming to a rink near you.

Intimidate and Dominate is a term we like to instill in the kids' heads. We want players confident in their abilities and reflecting that edgy attitude on the ice in every drill. We want kids looking like hockey players and "Showing up" for every drill and looking the opponent in the eye and showing him/her you mean business. We make you practice better which in turn makes you play better.

In fact, many of Pro Ambitions counselors were at one time campers themselves.

Part of what separates Pro Ambition Camps from the rest of the hockey camps out there is Jeff's attention to the little details. Pro Ambition campers are getting the highest quality camp, from boarding at some of the top Prep schools and colleges, to eating three delicious meals a day, to training with some of the top trainers at some of the top athletic facilities around, to getting the most advanced on ice training in the hockey industry.
