We guarantee to give defensemen a hockey
experience that will change their game forever. With the massive
expansion of Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. it is difficult to have Jeff
as the head on ice instructor for the entire week of camp. Jeff will
be pulling out all the stops and opening up his bag of tricks at
this one. As mentioned in other parts of the website, the Pro Ambitions
copyrighted curriculum that has been sold to youth hockey organizations
nation-wide had never included a section on Jeff's D-camps. He has
too much knowledge to be passed on about being a "mule" that
he keeps it exclusive to teaching himself.
Areas we will address in this camp:
Powerskating, quick feet, agility, pivoting, cross-overs, balance,
Gap control all over the ice (most important part of the game) 1
v1’s, 2v 1’s, 2 v 2’s, All break out options, Puck
control, shooting (various shooting drills in all areas of offensive
zone), Passing, neutral zone d to d passing (hinge), front of net
coverage, we will also bring out many of our signature battle camp
drills, pinching, checking, angling, communication skills, shot-blocking,
small area defensive fun games.
Players will play offense and defense in this camp. With the new
rules defenseman need to be creative, need to handle the puck and
need to have good skills.
Forwards you will get just as much out of this as defense.

Good morning Jeff and Bonnie,
Our son, attended your "Defense with Jeff Camp" last week in Bensenville at the Edge. As former player and current coach , I have to say this was one of the most effective and well run camps that I have experienced. I thought there was a good balance between basic hockey skills (skating, puck handling, etc.) and defensive skills such as gap control, stick positioning and angling. The coaching staff was very professional, demonstrated good work ethics, drove the players towards reaching their full potential and acted as good role models for the kids. Thanks to you and the entire Pro Ambitions staff for sharing your hockey knowledge and transforming the kids into better players. We are looking forward to attending camp again next year.
Hi Jeff,
I wanted to thank you for an extraordinary week at Germain arena. The high paced tempo and top notch instruction was fantastic. Many of the dads commented on how much personal involvement you gave throughout the week, especially to the little kids, it was highly appreciated by all.
My boy thinks the world of you, he kept telling me Jeff Serowik told me this and Jeff Serowik told me that. Dad, wait til you meet Jeff Serowik. We’ve seen all your videos on the website and tries to shoot 500 pucks a day.
Your instructors are fine young men and great role models for the kids. The fact that my son was so inspired by your program means alot to me. He smiled constantly, made new friends and enjoyed the high caliber of hockey players that came
We're really looking forward to prolux and aaa at BU. I couldn't recommend Pro Ambitions any higher.
Have a great summer.
Mr. Serowik,
My son attended the Lake Tahoe Defensive camp two weeks ago. I must say
that I was very impressed with the camp and how it was conducted
throughout the week. Wil learned a tremendous amount and I have no doubt his defensive skills will improve as a result.
Being a defensive coach myself, I was grateful to turn the development of
my son over to a group of young men and yourself knowing that he was receiving
the best instruction in the industry. Each day, he made reference to knowledge he gained, the fun he experienced, and the great instruction he received. My sontold me that you personally recognized him during the camp in front of his peers with regards to his ability to control his gap. I can tell you that had a tremendous impact
on his confidence and his desire to continue that behavior. Thanks for the
positive reinforcement.
While I firmly believe the hockey instruction was extraordinary there is
another quality to your camp that I believe is equally as important. That
is discipline and respect. Every player, no matter the level, should be exhibiting discipline and respect. The discipline is key to creating a learning environment for all
the participants. The respect is for coaches and fellow players.
I witnessed both at your camp. The discipline and respect were demanded,
as they should.
I also want to commend Coach Mike for his interactions with his group of
kids. I thought he did a great job and I can say without hesitation that
my son Wil very much enjoyed his instruction and the encouragement he
displayed to his group.
Thanks again for the experience. We will see you next year.

I witnessed both at your camp. The discipline and respect were demanded, as

I also witnessed your "sniper" camp leader ( sorry, I do not recall his
name) take a bold step in the face of disrespect to him by a player and did
this in front of other players and parents. As a coach, I personally
commended him on his action to instill discipline and most importantly
respect from that particular player. Please continue to reinforce with your
coaches the importance of demanding discipline and respect. I know many of
them are relatively young and that often times makes the decision to do that
difficult, but you appear to have a group that knows you support them. This
makes it much easier for them to ensure all participants enjoy the camp and
are not hindered by the unpleasant actions of another camper.
While improvement in skill is always top of mind at these camps, it is also
an opportunity to instill qualities that help young boys and girls be
successful for the rest of their lives, regardless of their chosen vocation
or profession.
I also want to commend Mike Adamowicz for his interactions with his group of
kids. I thought he did a great job and I can say without hesitation that my
son very much enjoyed his instruction and the encouragement he displayed
to his group.
Thanks again for the experience. We will see you next year.

Dear Jeff,
I just wanted to share how pleased we were with your camp in Valencia last week! Skylar had a blast. I believe he learned a lot. He is talking about it and would like to go back next year!! I am sorry I missed you. I spent most of the last day Friday hanging out and watching! I was very impressed. I really felt the instructors cared and were very professional! Great with the kids!! They really care about what they are doing. Thanks again for a great camp and hope to do it next year!
Thanks Gil M.
Hi Coach,
Thanks again for allowing David to attend the Littleton camp. He learned so much and said it was by far the best camp he's ever been to. His coaches couldn't believe how much better he got in just one week! They said his stick control and keeping it in the shooting and passing lanes was outstanding. They also see him playing more aggressively and with more confidence. His head coach even asked me what camp David went to and is now going to enroll his son (another Pee Wee) in your SLC Battle Camp.
I can tell you that David will attend your D Camp again next summer. Probably twice. You really helped him mentally and as a player. He said your advise to approach big games the same way he does a family drop in has made him think how much fun and relaxed he is at practice and drop in. He said he will keep it the same for his games this coming season. I'll let you know how it goes...
Great camp coach. You've reached my boy in more ways than I can express. He is more excited than ever to start the next season.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you again next summer.
Coach Jeff,
Our son Nico will be attending your Defense camp again this year --- this will be his fifth year in a row. One summer he broke his arm/wrist and you managed to squeeze him in at the last AAA camp in Kents Hill. He feels that every year, you take his game to the next level with proven results.
I have to tell you that I find your articles inspiring and very thought provoking. You manage to capture the essence of what it is like to live, breathe and dream hockey. I agree with Nico that you have what it takes to coach him to the next level but what I love about you and your program is that you mentor his soul . . . keep writing those articles! See you at BU . . . again!
Cheers
Hi Jeff,
The launch of your new website reminded me that I have neglected to write to thank you for the camp experience my squirt son received at the Defense Battle Camp in Chicago this past July. The overall experience, your staff and the defense skills were fantastic.
More importantly, I wanted to write and thank you for sharing your passion for the game and your “not so easy” road to the NHL with the kids. Your stories really resonated with my son. In fact, he broke his foot two weeks before tryouts this fall and did not make the team he was working toward/wishing for and it was a huge blow to him. Nick has talked a lot about your stories and been able to draw from your journey and gain strength from it. That right there goes way beyond hockey. It is a life lesson. Thank you for doing what you do. Looking forward to next summer.
Warm regards,
Andrea B. (and Nick)
Hello,
Our son did your camp in Bensenville the Edge this July. I can't say how wonderful this camp was. My son learned so much and truly enjoyed everyone that worked there as well.
All the coaches that helped Jeff out were just great kids and my son really learned so much and gained many friends as well. It was run with such high marks and Jeff did a great job!!
PLease let us know when you get your schedule for next year.
Our son Nick can't wait to have us sign him up again for next year at the Edge.
PLease tell your staff from that Defense camp they all did such a great job!!! Your skills and clinics were just super!!!
Thanks again!!!
Jeff,
Thanks for running such a great defense clinic last week in Walpole. While I would never be able to get my daughter to admit she liked it, she never once complained and I actually saw a few smiles on her face as she mastered some of the drills. My son couldn’t stop raving about it and wants to do the Battle Camp next year. My husband and I were both impressed with the workout the kids were given and the fact that the action was non-stop really seemed to hold all the kids’ attention. I will definitely be recommending your organization to my fellow youth hockey parents.
I’ve looked on your website to check for any upcoming clinics being run during the school year but couldn’t find anything. I did notice on the New England Sports Center website that they have a three day Pro Ambitions Hockey Clinic booked during the December school break period. So my question is, now that we’ve attended one of your programs will we be included in notifications regarding upcoming programs/clinics that your organization will be running? I’d love to get my daughter into a clinic one more time before the high school tryouts in November.
Again, thanks to you and your whole staff of coaches for sharing your knowledge with our kids!
Just wanted to send you a quick note in appreciation to all your staff on what a wonderful job they do ! Your camp is by far the best camp my daughter has ever attended. It will be a fixture on her summer schedule of things to do ! It is the perfect combination of working very hard on her skills and having fun while doing it. Your camp has so much structure and runs like a well oiled machine. Jeff it is so obvious as a parent who observed the entire week that you put your heart and soul into making your camps the best camps around. You personaly being at your camps and interacting with the kids shows just how commited you are to the kids experience.
Again thank you so much and Jocelyn has already asked if she could return next year, so we will see you then.
My 11 year old son, attended your defense camp in Lake Tahoe and last week and it was a great week for him! He already wants to come back next year! He will be a first year pee wee and has never been afraid of hard work, but this was by far the most intense training he has gotten! He was SOOOO tired the first day, but raring to go on Tuesday morning! We made this into a family vacation (we live 5 hours away) so my husband and I stuck around for the ice sessions. We were impressed by your talks during the time the Zamboni would be out on the ice, especially talking to them about grades. My son is an A/B student, but of course…hates to do homework just like most kids his age. But every time he hears someonebesides us telling him the importance of keeping up his grades, I know it only encourages our efforts and plants that seed in his mind for the future!
All the coaches seemed to be really good with the kids and we even pointed out to him that working for an organization such as this one could be a fun “job” if the opportunity ever presents itself! We have Tier 2 and Tier 3 teams in our town (Fresno Monsters) and have billeted 4 players so far and are planning for another this season. It’s been a great experience and is just one more insight into the world of hockey and what the future could hold for him if he chooses. That’s why taking advantage of camps such as this one (he did your Battle Camp in Fresno last summer also) is so important to his development and keeping options open to him.
Thanks again and we look forward to camp next year! Have a great summer!
Jeff,
On another note, I meant to send you an email awhile back but it got buried in my memory bank. Cam really enjoyed your defenseman camp that he attended during Christmas vacation in Andover and he thought it was the best clinic that he has ever attended. He was worked hard and learned alot. I can see that he has improved on gap control and his comfort level is higher when dealing with 1v1 and 2v1 situations. I just wanted to send on the good words and apologize that its 2 months old.
Lance's Dad
Jeff,
I just wanted to drop you a note regarding the clinics. My son enjoyed them very much and I feel he learned a lot, especially in the area of GAP control and body positioning. When he took the ice in his first game after the clinic, I could see immediately an increased level of confidence and skill.
If he gained this much from the abbreviated holiday clinics, I can just imagine how much he would gain from a week long summer defense clinic. We will be considering both the Battle and Defense this summer.
I hope the new year brings you and your family all that you deserve.
Jeff-
I just wanted to drop you a note. My son Colin attended your D w/Jeff camp at Kents Hill, ME last summer. It was his first boarding camp and time away from home. He had a blast at camp and bonded with you and the counselors. He came away with a great sense of playing hockey is much more than what happens on the ice. He made the top team in his age group. He is a leader on his team and is constantly battling. All the parents are asking what he did in the off season and say how great he looks. You may be a seeing some of his teammates next summer. He is looking forward to coming back to Kents Hill and maybe BU next summer.
Best Regards,
Jim
"Jake has attended your camps the last two years in Tahoe...this summer he is bringing 4-7 of his teammates with him to the Tahoe camp in July.
Jake loved your camps, and has really bragged about you and the camp, so they all can't wait to come!"
Thanks Jeff,
Dana O.
"My 16 year old son attended your camp as a boarder at the Vernon, NJ site. He came back a changed player. He was good before, but you brought his game to a new level. Camp ended on Friday and he had a game Saturday and Sunday. In Saturday's warm-ups I could see the difference. It was strange, but I could tell something was different. More confident, a harder shot, poised and in control. In Sunday's game,he scored from the point on a hard , well-placed slapshot, and just missed another goal on another point shot that he confidently drew off the boards on the right side(he's a righty). When I asked him about the goal, he replied,"Jeff told us where to place the puck on that shot". I have been hearing a lot of "Jeff told us..." lately.
Thank you so much for delivering on what you promised. "
