Since Goalie Coach Mike Buckley has joined the Pro Ambitions team, our goalie training program has undergone innovative, new changes, selling out week after week, as a result.  Under Mike Buckley’s curriculum, students are exposed to today’s most modern technique. As a former Division 1. and recently retired professional goaltender, Coach Buckley’s teachings has helped produced several NHL draft picks, five Division 1. scholarships, two major junior draft picks, and two U-17 National Development Team selections. In addition to his role as Director of Goaltending for Pro Ambitions, Mike Buckley is President of Goaltending Development Services Inc.






 

 

 




 

 

 

 

 

 

His sold-out summer training program consists of goalies from: the Dallas Stars (NHL), Phoenix Coyotes (NHL), Fresno Falcons (ECHL), UNH, University of Vermont, UMass-Lowell, UConn, Brown University and Boston College.

Due the overwhelming popularity of Coach Buckley’s goaltending curriculum, Pro Ambitions is fully integrating Mike’s curriculum for the upcoming season.

Changes Goalies can expect in 2007:

  • New on ice structure

  • New technique

  • New challenging and fun drills

  • 4 hours of on ice goalie instruction per day (except 2 hour clinics)

  • Goalie specific off ice training

As we begin to integrate Mike Buckley’s structure into our camps you can expect to see his coaching staff consisting of Division 1. netminders such as Cory Schneider (Boston College) Mike Spillane (University of Vermont) Scott Tomes (UConn) and assistant director Mike Morrison (Phoenix Coyotes).  Mike’s coaching curriculum is focused on being well-structured, progressive, challenging and fun. Skating, stance, positioning, save selection, rebound control and recovery are developed using today's modern methods. In addition, game situations, stick handling and the mental game are focused on each day to produce strong, consistent-minded goaltenders.

Mike Buckley has developed an intuitive and very successful training curriculum that until now has only been available though his highly sought after private instruction.
