JEFF SEROWIK’S HAS CREATED A NEW CAMP FOR HIS PRO AMBITIONS CAMP LINE UP FOR THE 2010 SEASON… This camp is the perfect combination of power skating and puck control in one camp. The Trademark of Pro Ambitions Hockey…. The New and Next Pro Ambitions Hockey Curriculum, “Proforma” During Jeff’s lifelong experience in hockey, he has attended many different hockey camps and schools, where he has been introduced and exposed to many different teaching philosophies and styles regarding the game of ice hockey. Overall, he has found that many camps and schools out there, teach too much of the same information. With this in mind, Jeff has created a second, but completely NEW Pro Ambitions curriculum that he is calling PROFORMA. Now Jeff would like to pass these secrets of the pros on to his campers. A Few Words from Jeff about PROFORMA CURRICULUM The biggest thing that I noticed in working with kids over the past 20 years is that kids are still struggling to integrate their skating and puck handling skills at the same time. Kids get so nervous when trying to master drills at full speed that they end up grinding saw dust out of their stick. My new curriculum focuses on teaching and developing players to be able to combine multiple skills out on the ice. A Little Bit About the Proforma Curriculum The Proforma curriculum is a unique program that allows players of all ages to develop their skills in a fun, yet challenging atmosphere. By combining different teaching methods, Jeff has come up with the perfect skills development curriculum, combining technical, physical and mental training to introduce, develop and master the fundamental skills of ice hockey. Jeff’s PROFORMA curriculum focuses on breaking down each of the fundamental playing skills and introduces techniques that work through teachings and drills that have been proven to develop the individual player skills at all levels of the game from mites through the pros. Proforma Skating The skating portion of this curriculum focuses on the proper technique, body alignment, balance, power, agility and foot speed, stride efficiency, proper knee bend, first step speed, effective stopping skills, crossovers and edge control. Proforma Puck Control The puck control portion of this curriculum focuses on teaching stickhandling, passing and shooting techniques that have been proven effective in the development at all levels of the game. Proforma Skills in Combination The next portion of the curriculum focuses on teaching and developing players to multitask out on the ice; skate and stickhandle, skate and pass, skate and shoot, skate, stickhandle and pass, etc. all at top speed. The Proforma Homework The final portion of the curriculum teaches players to work on their skills at home with effective dryland training drills that focus on developing stronger, faster skating muscles, quicker, softer hands for puck handling and passing, and stronger upper body for quicker, harder more accurate shooting. There are a number of training products that Jeff highly recommends to all players that are looking to continue their skill development off the ice that are uses at all of his camps and can be found on his website; the Green Biscuit, lateral resistors and Mr. Assist to name a few. By using these products and making them part of your regular practice routine, you will notice a dramatic change in your game. Jeff and the entire Pro Ambition staff are very excited regarding the introduction of the Proforma camp during the 2010 Summer Campaign.
