BOSTON UNIVERSITY BOARDING CAMP

BOSTON UNIVERSITY DEFENSEMAN WITH JEFF SEROWIK

The real deal with Jeff all to yourself for the week. This is an awesome opportunity for all defensemen and forwards who are interested in exploring becoming a "mule" as Jeff calls the D-men. Jeff himself was a forward up until prep school. Think about that! Jeff added this specialty camp to the BU boarding camp repertoire. The intimacy of the small group while spending the week with Jeff will make for a lifetime memory. We guarantee to give defensemen a hockey experience that will change their game forever. With the massive expansion of Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. it is difficult to have Jeff as the head on ice instructor for the entire week of camp. That is what makes BU boarding camps so special. Requests for a two week stay from many of last years boarders prompted us to add yet another unique Pro Ambitions camp. Jeff will be pulling out all the stops and opening up his bag of tricks at this one. As mentioned in other parts of the website, the Pro Ambitions copyrighted curriculum that has been sold to youth hockey organizations nation-wide had never included a section on Jeff's D-camps. He has too much knowledge to be passed on about being a "mule" that he keeps it exclusive to teaching himself.

Highlights of the week:
  • 2 on ice sessions daily of 2.5 hours each = 5 hours ice per day
  • On-ice sessions Jeff Serowik and his top notch staff.
  • Feel the BU hockey tradition living in the Terrier dorms and skating daily at the historical Walter Brown Arena.
  • Lecture from renowned NHL sports psychologist, Max Offenberger. Learn at an early age how to hone your mental toughness and how to maximize a child's confidence on and off the ice. Max works and has worked with many of the NHL's greatest-including Jeff, Cam Neely, Dominic Hasek. He is currently working with many NHL teams-Ottawa, Tampa Bay and more. Max is proud to have been given the Stanley Cup for a week in September 2005 as he worked so closely with The Tampa Bay Lightning on their journey toward winning the Championship. The players and brass felt he was such an important component in their victory. Max is quite an inspirational speaker and has so many exciting hockey tales to tell.
  • Jeff has teamed up with Boston Adventures to tailor make a sports scavenger hunt around Boston. Boston Adventures specializes in team building events nationwide. They have created a Kick IceSM amazing race "esque" scavenger hunt around beantown. We will all end up with plush lobstas to take home but their will be huge bragging rights for the first place pro ambitions team. Use of poloroids, instant cameras, and more. We will begin the hunt at BU, make our way around the city for a couple of hours with both Boston Adventures and Pro Ambitions chaperones and end up to eat, celebrate and pass out awards at T. Anthony's (a BU hockey team tradition to eat pre and post game meals at T's)This will also be a nice break from the caf.(This event will happen on wednesday afternoon both bu weeks) http://www.bostonadventures.com/
