PREP AMBITIONS BATTLE CAMP

New last year to the Boston University camp repetoire we had a very successful camp and outstanding turn-out. This camp is for 10-16 year old players who are thinking of going to a New England prepatory boarding school or want a great hockey camp with many different Prep Coaches doing the on ice sessions. Jeff feels very passionate about this camp as he believes going to Lawrence Academy was the most important step in his life of hockey. Jeff was drafted while at Lawrence Academy and also earned a full scholarship to a Division One College. This is going to be a typical BU Pro Ambitions Hockey, Inc. boarding camp in the fact that it will be hockey intensive, and enjoying what Boston has to offer. Here is a sampling of our prep school coaches who ran practices last year at BU. Our success resulted in two campers attending Prep School in the fall.

  • 2 on ice sessions daily of 2.5 hours each = 5 hours ice per day
  • Feel the BU hockey tradition living in the Terrier dorms and skating daily at the historical Walter Brown Arena.
  • Written D-1 analysis to all campers
  • 5:1 ratio of players to professional staff (lowest in the industry!) players are completely supervised the entire day (including helping kids tighten skates or help with equipment).
  • 50 hours of professional training per week including 25 hours of professional on ice training ( 5 hours daily) and 20 hours of off ice training.
  • NEW 18 page PA evaluation and information packet. Very informative and educational. Includes In depth player analysis, training tips from Jeff, nutritional guidelines, try-out advice, off ice training, mental training, game preparation, defensive and offensive advice, game specific tips and much more!!!
  • Daily Battle drills also comprised of Circuit training, skill development drills (full ice drills) and small area games that includes Powerskating, Stickhandling (player has a puck on his stick the majority of the day), Puck Protection, Body Contact, Shooting, Passing, Conditioning, Agility, Game Preparation, over 100+ new innovative fun, action packed drills.
  • We are teaching and training players both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game. All skills are taught and trained at top speed simulating game situations.
  • Players are properly grouped by age and skill level and then moved according to their abilities. Player placement by a Pro Ambitions Staff is a key ingredient to each players success.

  • Dry land shooting station on football field
  • Airport pick-ups/transfers from Boston's Logan Airport
  • Daily Dryland Stickhandling circuits
  • Daily chalk talk and or video and, mental conditioning, and team building sessions
  • Confidence/Focus building games: Hand Shake Competition (look in the eye and give good hand shake) RPS tourney (rock, paper, scissors), Simon Says and The Chain.
  • Each Battle Camp is accompanied by our Professional goalie program overseen by Director Mike Buckley and his staff
